The growth of a classic love for peanut butter

Here's a transcript of tonight's conversation:

Me: What would you like for dinner?
Nikolai: Peanut butter.
Me: That's it? just plain peanut butter?
Nikolai: No, I want it paneelear. (pan [like what you cook in] eel [in the sea] lear [as in clear])
Me: What is paneelear?
Nikolai: It means it's clear. Clear and flat.

That clears it right up for me.

Ode to Nikolai

ugh...so so so busy. VERY HAPPY, but busy.

Tonight Nikolai was dancing around the house (his room mostly) bellowing out a song that I think might have been audible from Mars, it went something like this:

hop a scah bee
op a ska long
I love hot wheels
I love Ferraris

He just cracks me up

Tonight were were eating dinner. Everyone else had chicken, rice and french bread (yes, I know, I obviously wasn't thinking about my 4 food groups, nor was I thinking about vegetables), and Nikolai was tearing into a bowl of noodles with parmesean cheese accompanied by a side of stone cold corn soup in a cup. He examined his bowl as he held the last noodle in his hand, and once he had finally devoured the last noodle informed me that he had "exernized his somperation".

When I asked him what it meant, he pointed at his empty bowl and said "It means you have no food left."

Nikolai's stellar voice lessons

Tonight I was putting on Jakers! and Nikolai asked if I would sing the theme song for him. I started singing and immediately he stopped me saying "No, no no. THAT'S not how you do it." and continued on to instruct me while dancing around on the couch:
"Now FIRST! First, you have to curl your voice."

photo from last week

I took this last week sometime and spent some time with it in PSP. I'm happy with how it turned out.
