but then I get into the whole relationship list "niece", "aunt", etc. I decided to try to keep it with things that actually had related tasks and weren't idle states of being.

Being a mother fits. It is one of the hardest jobs out there with unending tasks your whole life. It is also one of the most rewarding jobs. Being a sister or friend is not a job but a pleasant relationship to cherish and enjoy. No required tasks, just the pleasure of doing something to bring the other person joy.
p.s. You are a very good, no great, friend! :D

Wow, thanks Amber. :)

I thought mothering should be in there only because 90% of my physical and emotional time and effort has been dedicated to it for all of my adult life and half of my adolescent life.
