They eat so many insects (including mosquitos) and are soooooo great for our ecosystem... I know they look kinda weird but I LOVE the picture you took... I said "awwwww -- how cute!"

sorry for my soapbox... I just have a real soft spot here...
yeah, I took the picture because when I looked up into the little bat's scared face that was what I said, too. Awwww. He was very sweet and very scared, poor little thing.
While it's decidedly creepy to have a bat whapping into you at 4:00 am, it's an experience I"m glad for. And man, anything that eats mosquitos is A-OK in my book.
