We all have skeletons in the closet.

But mine is in the basement.

The other day (actually last Friday) we met the inspector at the Prytania house for an inspection. It took him a few hours, and part of it was to actually crawl under the house into the basement and check things out from underneath. When he resurfaced he told us an interesting thing. Apparently there were "bones" under the house. He wasn't actually sure what kind of bones at first, but then the vertebra cleared it right up for him. He pulled the bones to the edge of the house (D'oh! Never move the evidence!!) and took many pictures.

Actually, I would have felt cheated somehow if I had bought a 120 year old Victorian house in the Garden District in New Orleans and it *wasn't* haunted.

I got as close as i could to the underside of the house and took a picture, you can see one of the bones in the picture below.

He's going a little nuts with the tattoos

Creepy baby on the conference table

So, I think this is actually the result of a King Cake which was brought into the office. Unfortunately now it's been demoted to just a really creepy looking plastic baby hanging out in the buff on the conference table.

Branding

I've really been sucking a lot at posting, I know. it's inexcusable that I've been in New Orleans for 10 days already and have only posted one measly little story. I'll try to improve.

Sometimes they come up with the best description of how things feel

We were on the plane which would stop in Houston on our way to New Orleans on Sunday. The flight had gone very well, and Nikolai was excited about the trip. As the plane began its descent into Houston, Nikolai was picking at his ears and even said once "My ears hurt." I was impressed that he spoke immediately about it and was in-touch with it enough to verbalize it in a calm way to me. A few moments later he started quiet whimpering because it was still hurting him, and said to me "Mama, my cheek is biting my ear."

Quick and easy way to reconnect with long lost buddies

For a SCREAMING good time, I highly recommend you do this:

- Open your YIM buddy list
- Actions | Send my messenger list
- On screen one, fly right past the text that reads "Select one or more people to send contacts to" and select every damn one of the contacts in your list; click Next>
- Check the "Select all" checkbox at the bottom of the screen there and click Finish
- Watch the IM's start pouring in

Note: This works best if you have more than 100 contacts in your buddy list.

Another Note: Yahoo has some bugs. Not everybody got all my contacts.
